Cooking today for New Year’s Eve?

Make sure you save parsley stems for soup stock. Store in a freezer bag or air tight container for later use, if you are not brewing stock today.

Parsley stems add a dynamic, fresh flavor to any stock.  Just toss in the stems with other stock ingredients and let broth simmer for as long as need to induce a rich, delicious taste.  Strain stock before using or freezing for your next cooking endeavor.  Measure and freeze stock in 1 cup batches.  Label container with contents, date and measurement.
