Every book lover and foodie needs a copy of “Table of Contents,” a new guide book by Judy Gelman and Vicki Levy Krupp.  These two book club/culinary queens have complied thoughts, inspiration and recipes from 50 bestselling authors into the easy to read, entertaining “Table of Contents.”

This week’s podcast radio interview features Judy and Vicki talking about “Table of Contents,” plus their previously released books of the same ilk, “The Book Club Cook Book” and “The Kids’ Book Club Book.”  Judy and Vicki share how they selected the authors for “Table of Contents” and worked with them to gather intimate insights that helped bring the characters and stories in their books to life.

“Table of Contents” is a great companion book to a book club, but it’s also ideal for any literary hound interested in the food, history and culture mentioned in a novel.

For example, Kathleen Kent, who wrote the “Wolves of Andover” and “The Heretic’s Wife,” provides a recipe for Johnny Cakes, a dish mentioned in “The Heretic’s Wife,” which takes place during the Salem witch trials.  You also get a taste for different cultures and cooking styles, including Lisa See’s won ton recipe from “Peony in Love.”  See also wrote “Snow Flower and the Secret Fan” and several other books based in old world China.

Gather around the table for a full serving of this literary and culinary treat.  “Table of Contents” is available at Amazon and national and independent bookstores for $15.95.
